Terms of Service

By creating an account or using SofaSearch (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 16 years old to register. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

SofaSearch is an AI-assisted job-search platform. It helps you track job listings, import job descriptions, generate tailored CV documents and cover letters, and analyse how well your profile matches a role. AI-generated content is produced by large language models (Anthropic Claude) and is provided as a suggestion only — it is not professional career, legal, or employment advice.

We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in job offers, interviews, or any employment outcome.

Free accounts include 5 lifetime AI analyses (job-match scoring and URL-based job import). Other features — CV generation, cover letter creation, ATS analysis, match explanations — are unlimited on the free tier.

Users who complete the optional product survey are granted 5 additional lifetime AI analyses (total 10), credited automatically upon survey completion. This bonus is one-time and non-transferable.

We reserve the right to adjust limits or introduce paid plans with advance notice. Existing users will receive at least 14 days’ notice of any reduction to free-tier limits.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at jods-privacy@couchhelp.eu if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may not share, sell, or transfer your account to another person.

You retain ownership of the CV data, job descriptions, and other content you upload to the Service (“Your Content”). By uploading Your Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process and store it for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring that Your Content is accurate and that you have the right to upload it. Do not upload content that infringes third-party intellectual-property rights or contains unlawful material.

Documents and analyses produced by the Service are generated by AI models and may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. You must review all AI-generated content before submitting it to any employer. We are not liable for any consequences arising from reliance on AI-generated output without independent verification.

You may not use the Service to:

• Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data via automated means.
• Circumvent or abuse rate limits or usage quotas.
• Upload malicious code, spam, or content that violates applicable law.
• Impersonate another person or create false identity information.
• Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it.
• Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties without our prior written consent.

Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

The Service, its codebase, design, branding, and all content we create (excluding Your Content) are owned by or licensed to SofaSearch and protected by intellectual-property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for its intended purpose.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SofaSearch and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or employment opportunities — arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings, which will trigger deletion of your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and, where applicable, the laws of Ukraine. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
